Captain America and The Avengers is a beat-em-up by Data East, released for arcades, then ported for the Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis. The game features Marvel Comics' superheroes fighting against the evil Red Skull and his henchmen.

If the player loses all their health, the CONTINUE? tagline appears, adorned in orange. When the time reaches zero, the Game Over screen appears with a black background and the same font and color as the continue tagline. The game tells you to try again in voice samples, with Captain America saying "No matter how strong the forces of evil may be, the Avengers will be there!".
